Vancouver Island's Signature Golf Holes
Try your hand at 12 featured golf courses and keep your head up to enjoy these signature golf holes as you travel along the 250km Vancouver Island Golf Trail:
Cowichan Golf & Country Club is one of those golf courses that golfers always dream about discovering when they go away on a golf trip!
It has all the right ingredients for a terrific day of golf including beautiful scenery, challenging holes, excellent service, and a great clubhouse. Located outside of Duncan, halfway between Victoria and Nanaimo, the golf course looks out to the mountains and the waters of Cowichan Bay. Established at its present location in 1947, when legendary architect A.V. Macan designed one of the Island’s finest nine-hole courses, Cowichan expanded to eighteen holes in 1985. The site of a number of top national and provincial championships, the course now meanders through the valley, a picturesque mix of meadow and tree-lined holes. At 6,189 yards, Cowichan isn’t particularly long from the tips, but don’t let that fool you into a sense of complacency as the tight fairways and fast, undulating greens will come to haunt you. Nestled in the Cowichan Valley, Vancouver Island's premier grape-growing region, it's a perfect play for a golf and wine getaway.
